There is no obligation to purchase. Use the Contact Form to request the first 24 free practice pages from Two Plus Two Is Not Five, and please tell me whether you work with students at home, in a homeschool setting, or traditional school setting. I will include my free tips to teach math facts.

Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.
By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.

Two Plus Two Is Not Five is different from typical math workbooks because it has all the strategies and practice pages to help students memorize the addition and subtraction facts to 18. If you live in an area following Common Core State Standards, see the information on each book for a complete list of standards the books support.

If you like the sample pages, and want to purchase a book, save money because new books with “Scuffed Covers” are available for a reduced price. The mail-in form has an even greater discount! These books have a slightly scuffed cover or bent edge from handling. Regular priced books are also available, or ask for these books at your local educational or book store!

Fluency with math facts is important to being able to do more advanced math. *However, students first need to show understanding of what the numbers and math facts mean before we ask them to memorize math facts.Check past posts for other helpful strategies from my books.

This is such a great series. My special needs child used both the Addition/Subtraction and the Multiplication/Division books and mastered the skills by doing one lesson each a day. The lessons are relatively easy and progress the student very slowly and systematically. There was almost no frustration. We tried a lot of approaches, and this was the absolute best.
